Our history

Nimbus Blue sprang to life in 2010 when our founder, David Tawse, decided it was time to create an IT business in Aberdeen that focussed on customer service first. This came from his background of working in retail and leisure, but combining his love of all things tech. Now, Nimbus Blue serves companies far beyond its Aberdeen roots.

Our founder, David, leaves his job as a Software Engineer and begins self-employment (eek!)2006

David Tawse

Managing Director

Our founder and champion of customer service, David is the visionary for the business and is always on the lookout for ways to give you better value and further secure your data. Ideas and suggestions are always welcome!

Jennifer Taylor

Business Development Manager

Jen is the master of sales and marketing, taking care of all the (hopefully) useful material and social media that we put out. If you have a sales enquiry, Jen will make sure you get the right answers from the right people.

Andy Turner

Security Lead

Andy is the architect of security solutions, there's no security challenge he can't deal with. He actively keeps up to date with the ever-changing threat landscape to ensure all our customers are secure, he’s your very own cyber security bouncer.

Andrew Pilkington

Technical Team Lead

Andrew has a fast-paced and varied role, he’ll ensure the smooth and slick running of our technical solutions. An easy-going, approachable guy who loves to interact with new people, just as much as with new technology.

Vitor Silva

Dispatch Support Technician

Based from his home in Portugal, Vitor is loved by our customers for his playful nature. He makes sure all our support requests are prioritised and handled correctly.

Mark Stewart

Support Technician

Mark is the guy you're most likely to see helping out at your office and carrying out your Tech Success assessments. If you have projects with us, he'll be managing those for you too. He's multi-skilled that way.

Lesley Milne

Accounts and Admin Manager

In charge of all things finance, Lesley makes sure that we're ship shape when it comes accounting and she's the one that's always chasing us for expense receipts!
